With a number of Ardmore Craig cable lay spreads currently in use on client vessels around the North Sea, the business has recently supplied a system for use in a North American cable lay project and has also commenced the design of its fourth bespoke system for use in the offshore wind farm market.
Each of these systems typically includes components such as carousels, spooling systems, over boarding chutes, subsea quadrants, quadrant rails and cable highways with the business having built up a wide range of experience in selecting the most appropriate type of system and configuring its components to work well together.
The scope of work for the current contract includes concept development and deck layout work, detail engineering, calculations, analysis and production of a full suite of manufacturing drawings.
