Although we knew it was coming, we’re delighted to announce that our 300thcontract has been secured before the end of 2019. And who better to help us reach this incredible milestone, than one of our long-term clients – Teesside based IN-SPEC Manufacturing.
The work, which entails the detail design, manufacturing drawings, and a lifting analysis, is being undertaken on behalf shipping and logistics company, PD Ports, as parts of its continuous investment in its Teesside port facilities.
The concept of the project is to design long-lasting fabricated assemblies for the positioning of fenders on the quayside, alongside a bespoke lifting tool that will install the structures. As vessels dock, the fenders will continue to act as a buffer, preventing damage to both the vessel and berthing area. However, our purpose-built fabricated assemblies will add to the integrity of the fender, thereby further reducing any possibility of damage to the berthing vessel.

This announcement follows many more recent work scopes tasked to our offshore oil & gas, marine and renewable-focussed design team. Including fatigue analysis for a drilling rig structure, and several carousel structural analysis packages for offshore wind farms, it has been a busy – but rewarding end to 2019 for everyone at the company.
