The design team at Ardmore Craig has recently completed fatigue analysis on a number of third party SURF ladders to verify their use over prolonged periods of time.
Working with a client to derive a duty cycle associated with vessel operations, transits, wave heights and vessel speeds allowed a series of stress cycles to be produced based on an analysis of the structure.
The parent material and weld details were then checked against the requirements of DNV RP C203 and recommendations on the ladders use provided to our client.
