Called in at short notice to assist its client, Ardmore Craig have completed the successful design, draughting and mobilisation support for a davit support structure for a fast rescue craft, required at short notice for its clients forth coming campaign in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
The scope of work included production of calculations, drawings and associated documents which were used to gain Lloyds approval for the design against its Code for Lifting Appliances in a Marine Environment.
Director Andrew Stevenson commented “This is another great example of our engineering team pulling out all the stops to rapidly complete a design work scope ahead of our client’s schedule. This type of work compliments our longer running projects and at the time of this project we were actively involved in supporting the simultaneous mobilisation of equipment on two separate vessels – one of the projects we have been involved with from concept to completion for over a year and in contrast this rapid turnaround project lasting less than ten days.”
